Andy Leung is the 2011 recipient of the Nash Medal, given each year to an outstanding graduating Statistics major. Andy has graduated with the Combined Honours in Statistics and Mathematics, with an extraordinary academic record. This summer, Andy is working with Bruce and Eugenia on a project on statistical education. In the all, he enters the UBC Statistics MSc program.
Andy will be presented with the award immediately following Convocation on Monday May 30, around 5:30 pm, near the flag pole near the Chan Centre.
The Nash Medal in Statistics recognizes the great service to statistics given by Professor Stanley Nash (1915-2001) over his more than forty years at UBC. The award is supported by contributions to the
