I am at UBC only from (about) November 1, 2008 until (about) February 20, 2009. I can supervise a maximum of 2 papers during this period.

I would want the students to hand in their work no later than (approximately) January 5.

  Questions I have for the students are:

  a) What are the main results?

  b) What is the essence of the methods of proof used to prove the results?

  c) Are the results and the proofs correct? If not, how could they be corrected?

  d) Do you have any comments on the results? Are they surprising? Useful?
