My research program involves Bayesian methods in general, and applications to health science in particular.
See my
preprint and publication list for some details, including computer code and supplementary materials for some papers.
My
teaching page includes links to current and recent courses.
I was (2007-2009) the Editor of the
Canadian Journal of Statistics.
I organized (and partly taught) a
short-course and workshop, April 24-25, 2008, here at UBC. The workshop was designed to bring health-researchers and academic statisticians together.
March 2008 news: winner of the CRM-SSC prize -
details here.
I was (2006-07) President of the
Biostatistics Section of the
Statistical Society of Canada.
I completed a stint as a member (2003-05) and then chair (2006) of the Statistical Sciences Grant Selection Committee for
NSERC. This was back in the good old days when there was a dedicated Stat. Sci. committee.
I had a
revelation about my
Erdös number.
