Yang (Seagle) Liu has been awarded the Statistics Department Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for 2014. Seagle is an outstanding TA who consistently scores highly on student TA evaluations. Time and time again, students have indicated Seagle’s willingness to go above and beyond in order to help them when they are struggling. Seagle has contributed to the educational mission of the Department through his direct role in courses, as well as by acting as a leader and mentor for newer TAs.

The Statistics Department Graduate Teaching Assistant Award was established in 2010 in order to recognize outstanding teaching assistants, and the extraordinary contributions they make to the Department of Statistics. The award is supported by the Statistics Fund for Excellence.
