Stanford University’s annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference will be streamed live at UBC on Monday, March 5, 2018 in the SPPH Building (Room B108). This free event is open to all, and registration is required (link below).
In addition to the video stream, there will also be 3 local speakers who will give a live presentation during the conference’s lunch-break (12pm – 2pm), and this will be followed by a Q&A. The local speakers are:
- Jenny Bryan, Software Engineer at RStudio, Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia.
- Sarah D'Ettorre, Machine Learning Engineer at Microsoft.
- Hyeju Jang, Ph.D. Candidate with 3 patents in Natural Language Processing.
