UBC Statistics honours 3 teams of students at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair

The Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair, held at UBC April 6 – 8, 2017, showcased amazing projects from students from many schools in the Lower Mainland. This year, we honoured these 3 teams of students with the 2017 UBC Statistics Award: 

Junior division 

“Qui le dit en premier” 

By Claudia Hill and Isabella Haas-Bardi from Alpha Secondary

Intermediate Division 

“Stretch for Stability—A Study on the Effects of Ankle-dorsiflexion on Balance and Gait” 

By Megan Syho and Kai Leong from Killarney Secondary School

Megan and Kai also won a Grand Award and a Gold Junior Divisional Award.

Senior Division 

“A Trumpish Market”

Nicholas and Dexter also received the Bronze Award in the Senior division.
