The Statistics Department is pleased to honour Zuheng (David) Xu with Statistics Graduate Teaching Assistant Awards.
David has performed his duties with enthusiasm, knowledge, and engagement, contributing to our excellent undergraduate learning environment. He has been instrumental in the teaching of STAT 200, STAT 305, and STAT 404, through his excellence in teaching. In addition, he has played a significant role in course development, via his involvement in the revamping of STAT 200 and 404. He has also shown passion for teaching in a paper which he co-authored in 2019 called “Student Submission Patterns in Online Homework and Relationships to Learning Outcomes: A Pilot Study" in the Proceedings of the Canadian Engineering Education Association Conference (CEEA).
We know that many department members contribute to our teaching mission, and we want to take the opportunity to not only honour this year’s winner, but also to thank everyone. Thank you to all of our dedicated teaching assistants, faculty and staff who enthusiastically support our teaching. And congratulations to David!
