Janet Lam receives Nash Medal

The Nash Medal this year is awarded to Janet Lam. Janet has completed a major in Statistics and a minor in Computer Science, and she will graduate this year with distinction. The majority of her grades have been in the 90s, and she has completed 4 Co-op work terms. Last year, Janet was awarded the Dr. John and Barbara Petkau Scholarship, and she has also received the Trek Excellence scholarship as well as scholarships from the Computer Science Department.

The Nash Medal in Statistics is given each year to the most outstanding graduating student in the B.Sc. program in Statistics. The Medal recognizes the great service to Statistics given by Professor Stanley Nash (1915-2001) over his more than 40 years at UBC.
