Sonja Isberg receives department's Graduate Teaching Assistant Award and UBC Killam Graduate Teaching Assistant Award

The Statistics Department is happy to announce that PhD student Sonja Isberg has been honoured in two ways for her contributions to statistics education.

Sonja is the recipient of the department’s Graduate Teaching Assistant Award and has also received a prestigious UBC Killam Graduate Teaching Assistant Award, of which Sonja is one of only five recipients in the Faculty of Science.

Sonja has been an exemplary teaching assistant. She has engaged in many aspects of teaching, including attending workshops to improve her teaching, developing instructional materials in the Flexible Learning in Introductory Statistics project, and teaching to a range of audiences. She has also trained and mentored her fellow Graduate Teaching Assistants.

Congratulations, Sonja, and thank you for your dedication to statistics education.
