The eleventh annual Canadian Statistics Student Conference (CSSC) took place on Saturday, May 27, 2023. This conference was all about engaging students through research presentations, statistical skills development workshops and talks, and an interactive career session with invited statisticians from different professional areas.
As one of the sponsors of the conference, UBC Department of Statistics had an opportunity to have a presentation. Statistics Ph.D. student, Jim Liang, participated in the conference on behalf of the department and provided the audience with an in-depth recognition of UBC Statistics.
The organizing committee stated that Jim gave an excellent presentation for UBC's sponsor talk. “It was a very nice experience participating in the event,” said Jim.
