Vivian Meng has received an Honorable Mention Gertrude Scholarship Award. This prestigious award is given annually by the American Statistical Association, and is presented at the Joint Statistical Meetings. Her citation reads: "for academic achievement in the University of British Columbia statistics program, outstanding advancement of both development and application of statistical methods related to population size estimation using multiple data sources, advancing the statistics field by organizing for the PIMS Young Researchers Conference, and campus contributions to gender diversity via active research collaboration with her university’s NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering”.
