Abstract: Melissa Lee, Assistant Professor of Teaching, and graduate students, Rowenna Gryba and Jonathan Agyeman, have partnered up with Maï Yasué from the Equity and Inclusion Office to facilitate a workshop for our department. As the university seeks to diversify and create more inclusive learning environments for marginalized groups, all of us (faculty, staff, and students) will need to develop skills to have effective conversations on topics related to equity, diversity and inclusion. This interactive and reflective workshop provides opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to build competencies to respond effectively as allies in these challenging conversations.
